STICKY FINGERS

There’s this band from Australia called Sticky Fingers, right…? They haven’t released a new song in years BUT somehow have racked up over a BILLION streams across Spotify and Apple Music.

How, you ask? Honestly, no one knows….don’t ask them. It’s a miracle really. They don’t have a label, don’t have any radio, haven’t had any big late night tv moments or big press looks and the guys barely get to band practice. They fight, they make up and then try to tour a bit and inevitably something crazy will happen on tour and the show that night will be incredible or terrible. It’s really something. But, for 12 years now and despite all the chaos surrounding them, people decided they loved this band. They listen to anything and everything. They tell friends. They show up to concerts all over the world in huge numbers that don’t make sense and scream lyrics back to them. They want the band to release new music desperately, and if you read YouTube comments the fans really want them back in Brazil.

Yes, Sticky Fingers have always been a full on…in your face band. It’s going great or it’s barely going. Magically though, they figured out a way to use the forced downtime of the last year to put together a new album…the 5th full length album actually, called “We Can Make the World Glow”. It’s the title of 1st single which will release on September 24th and will lead off an exciting barrage of new music and other quality content over the next few months. The full album will be heard by the world in March 2022…maybe before if it leaks somewhere but hopefully not.

RUBY WATERS

Her sound is similar to her journey – eclectic, always evolving, and unfeigned.

Ruby will be supporting City & Colour on his upcoming tour in the United States this fall and will follow that with a run of headline shows across Ontario with hopes of a global tour in 2022.

ANNA SOFIA

18-year-old alternative pop marvel Anna Sofia grew up on a healthy dose of powerful rock ballads, Lana Del Rey breakup melodies, and artists who push creative boundaries like Kraftwerk, Die Antwoord, Madonna, Queen, Kanye West, and Elton John. It was this limitless individuality that destined Anna to become the genre-bending creative force she is today.

2020 saw Anna release her breakout EPs, Self Aware Bitch and Broken Perfection, which have amassed millions of views across streaming platforms, with the title track “Self Aware Bitch” finding its way into the Netflix Original Series Ginny & Georgia which went #1 in the US, Canada & UK.

Anna’s latest work effortlessly bridges the underground and the mainstream while traversing through the living Gen Z experience of being on the cusp of adulthood while facing an uncertain future.

CAM KAHIN

As a singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer, Cam has been pouring out his own experiences and emotions into his music. Cam has been playing music since he was 12 years old, and has been developing his skill set ever since. His music leans toward an experimental/alternative-rock sound, from which he says is due to his upbringing, listening to bands such as Muse, Cage The Elephant, and Biffy Clyro.

Over this past year, Cam has been developing his artistic body of work. Within this time, he was accepted into the Soundstock program for “Up-and-Coming Black Musicians” from the Greater Toronto Area.

While recording and mixing his debut releases, Cam and his team have been filming visuals for the first singles featured in his up-and-coming body of work, titled “Let It Sink In”. Cam has teamed up with creatives such as Dennis Grishnin and Heirmanos, a creative studio, that has created visuals for artists such as Tate Mcrae, Night Lovell, and Renforshort. As for the music, Cam has been working alongside one of his childhood heroes, Nicolas Fournier, who has mixed and engineered the very projects that inspired his musical upbringing.

F-POS

Hot off the heels of the success that came with their debut single ‘Classic’, F-POS are back at it again to bring more of the goods with their newest track, ‘Life Turns On’. Comprising both Patrick ‘Paddy’ Cornwall and Taras Hrubyj-Piper, F-POS are giving us a little more of a taste of what’s to come from these two, who are more than just best mates, but musical masterminds, too.

The success of the songwriting partnership is born from the symbiosis of their differences. While Paddy was touring the world in a decadent 24/7 party, Taras was silently meditating for years in an Indian Ashram. Together, each of them learns from the other – Pats instinctual, edge-of-his-seat inspiration and Taras’s calm contemplative focus strike the perfect bhuddic balance in their songs and lives.

From there, history was soon made, and F-POS was formed, with February of 2021 seeing their first single ‘Classic’. As Tyler Jenke from Rolling Stone Australia stated, the group’s first single was “an exceptional introduction to the outfit,” brought by the sound of their “infectious reggae-influenced jam”.

JEFF HAZIN

Jeff Hazin is quickly becoming one of Toronto’s most sought after producers/songwriters. Born and raised in Toronto, Hazin is the only musician in his family. He picked up the guitar at age 11, and “it was game over,” he says. As a multi-instrumentalist, playing guitar, piano and bass he has developed a sound that is admired by many. Jeff Hazin helps develop new artists like no other. rensforshort, WizTheMc, and glaive all have distinctly different sounds, yet Jeff has managed to bring their music to a higher artistic level. If he has an approach as a producer or co-writer, it’s this: “I always stress, to every artist I work with, to be yourself.”

What is most captivating about Jeff is his incredible versatility matched with consistency. Whether it’s pop, hip hop, or hyper-pop, Jeff never seems to miss.

Along with renforshort, Anna Sofia and WizTheMC, Jeff’s most notable collaborations include Tai Verdes, aldn, Alex Porat, Shay Lia and jember. As of recently he’s been writing with artists such as FrankDukes, Royal & The Serpent, binki, Upsahl, Sycco, Ryan Woods, Octavio and Glaive to name a few.

With a love for Hip-Hop and R&B, Moose’s credits include Jessie Reyez, Tory Lanez, Eminem, James Vincent McMorrow, dvsn and Allan Rayman. Producer collaborations include Steve Mostyn (Miguel, Alicia Keys), Andrew Dawson (Kanye West, Linkin Park) and Alex Da Kid (Eminem, Rihanna). Moose won his first Juno this year, with Jessie Reyez & Tory Lanez’ “Feel It Too” for R&B/Soul Recording Of The Year 2020.

Moose started from street cyphers, beatboxing and freestyling, which quickly developed into a passion for beat making. With influences ranging from Led Zeppelin to Dr. Dre and Danny Elfman, he loves to create drama layering hard beats with rich chords, favouring haunting atmospheres and distorted synths. When he is not in the studio, you can find him giving back to the community, primarily through teaching and mentoring up and coming talent at the Remix Project in Toronto, an acclaimed program from which he graduated with honours.
